I heart Bloglines

This? Is awesome! How easy is it to log in to my Bloglines account and find out if my essential websites have new postings? So easy!
Rather than having to sort through the mass of articles on any one website, they are all neatly organized for me by the good people at Bloglines!

It saves so much time and so far I actually feel more informed because rather than hald heartedly slogging through various web sites for new and interesting artricles, I simply scan the list of new articles and read only the ones I'm interested in.

Plus they make recommendations!

Flickr? I don't even knowr!

Librarian humour on a mug

Sorry, but somebody had to say it.

It's taken me a while to get around to this one. I finally figured out how to get my photos out of my camera and into the computer, now i just have to take the extra step of posting them online. Intil then, I poked around a bit and found some interesting things.

When I typed "Librarian" into the search engine, I came up with 31,381 images. This included one called "Librarians in showercaps" and this one called "librarian humor on a mug" apparently in Danish.

Awesomely (if it's not a world it should be) the tags for this one are:
Mug
Librarian
Kitsch
Danish
Sad (?)
Tivoli

Tthere were also assorted photos of Librarians partaking in everyday activities: working, cooking, playing Dance Dance Revolution, twirling, playing soccer against the Germans...You get the idea.

I learned a great deal from my Flickr experiment: It's really easy to use, a lot of people dress their dogs up as "Dogula" for Halloween and apparently there is a "Gentleman's Club in Vegas called "The Library."

Now that is sad

7 1/2 Habits

Lets see, easiest habit: Begin with a goal in mind. I like goals, even if they often end up changing along the way, I like being able to plan ahead.
Hardest: Viewing problems as challenges. I tend to feel that problems are the result of not having enough contingency plans. I guess I should work on that...

Oh, and which habit involves not forgetting your username and password every time you try to log in to your blogger account? I need to work on that one too.

Is this thing on?

Well, its finally happened. I've become a blogger. A person who blogs. A member of the blogigentsia. It's not that I have anything against blogs, I just never really had anything to say. People with blogs always seemed smarter or funnier or at the very least, way more self indulgent than I could ever hope to be. I mean, what, I'm going to spend hours thinking up library related Haiku? Actually...

At any rate, this Learning 2.0/ 23 1/2 things seems pretty interesting so I'll give it a go.
